Kellie, I adore how you name the con so honestly: looking composed on the outside while your life is essentially powered by espresso, supplements, and sheer will in a body that is running hot and lowābattery at the same time.
Reading this feels like peeking into the medicine cabinet of so many highāfunctioning women I work with, where perfume, redālight bulbs, sleep hacks, and bowel support become a kind of patchwork physiology just to keep a female brain creative, a cycle semiāregulated, and a face glowy enough to pass for āfineā when the deeper system is quietly begging for more uncomplicated sunlight, rest, and being offāduty.
